App privacy summary

LiDAR Measure is a native iPhone and iPad distance measurement app that uses ARKit, LiDAR scene depth, device motion sensors, local storage, and system speech playback. The app is designed to keep measurement data on your device.

  • We do not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or cross-app or cross-website tracking technologies.
  • We do not upload your measurement records, notes, settings, camera frames, depth samples, or saved snapshots to our servers.
  • We do not sell personal information and do not use measurement content for profiling or advertising.

Data stored locally

Measurement history, notes, selected units, measurement preferences, visualization mode, speech playback preference, and saved measurement snapshots are stored locally on your device. The app uses UserDefaults for settings and history metadata, and stores snapshot image files in the app's local document storage.

You can clear measurement history inside the app. You can also remove locally stored data by uninstalling the app from your device.

Camera and LiDAR depth

Camera permission is used to show the live camera view and allow ARKit to read LiDAR scene depth for distance measurement. Camera frames and LiDAR depth samples are processed on device for measurement and preview features.

If you save a measurement, the app may store a local snapshot for the visual view, depth heatmap, or point cloud preview. These snapshots stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them outside the app.

Motion sensors, pressure, and magnetic field

Motion permission is used to show pitch, roll, level, pressure, and magnetic field readings as measurement references. These readings are used in the app interface and are not uploaded to our servers.

Photo library add permission

If you choose to save an annotated measurement snapshot from history, the app requests permission to add the image to your photo library. This permission is used only for the save action you initiate.

System speech playback

If you enable distance speech playback, the app uses iOS system speech synthesis to read the measured distance aloud. The app does not record audio for this feature.

Technical support email

If you choose to contact technical support by email, we receive your email address, message content, and any device model, iOS or iPadOS version, app version, screenshots, measurement notes, and reproduction steps you choose to provide. We use this information only to respond to and troubleshoot the issue you reported.

Please avoid sending private photos, home addresses, sensitive measurements, medical information, payment information, passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive personal information in support emails.

Third-party SDKs, advertising, and tracking

The current version of LiDAR Measure does not integrate advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, crash reporting SDKs, or cross-app or cross-website tracking SDKs. We do not collect device identifiers for advertising purposes and do not request App Tracking Transparency authorization.

Retention and deletion

Measurement history, notes, settings, and snapshots are stored on your device and retained under your control. Technical support emails may be retained for a reasonable period needed to complete support, handle disputes, or comply with legal obligations.

Important disclaimer

LiDAR Measure provides quick reference measurements based on device sensors and ARKit LiDAR depth. Results may be affected by device calibration, distance, lighting, reflective or transparent surfaces, camera movement, surface geometry, depth confidence, software limitations, and user operation.

Do not rely only on LiDAR Measure for construction, engineering, medical, legal, financial, traffic safety, emergency, hazardous work, or other situations where measurement error could affect personal safety, property rights, compliance, or major decisions. Use calibrated measuring equipment and consult qualified professionals whenever accuracy matters.
